West Brom want Zapater

West Brom want Zapater

18 May 2008 - 17:24

Newly promoted West Brom are considering a move for talented young Spanish midfielder Alberto Zapater from Real Zaragoza. The Spanish side are on the fringes of relegation from La Liga, and Zapater has emerged as a target for Tony Mowbray's men.

  • Chelsea manager on Reece James before Man Utd game
  • Two injured Arsenal stars to return vs Man City?
  • The 22 year old is a local native of Zaragoza, and has always been at his hometown club. However, a move to the Premiership is something that would be of interest to any player, and West Brom could offer him the opportunity.

Zapater is valued at around £2 million by his club, and Villarreal are also among some of the other clubs interested in the player.

Zapater is renowned for his tough tackling holding midfield role, and should his club get relegated his exit is almost certain.
