Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott.
The Gunners made an enquiry for the Englishman over the summer, but the Cherries were quite clear that he was not for sale.
The club are likely to revisit their interest next year, and reports claim that they are continuing to monitor his performances.
The Gunners are not alone in the player's pursuit, and it is claimed that Liverpool are likewise keeping tabs on his progress.
The Reds failed to replace Curtis Jones after his departure to Inter Milan, and they are likely to seek a successor in January or next summer.
Arsenal, on the other hand, may see Scott as a possible replacement for Zubimendi, who has been linked with a return to La Liga.
Bournemouth have no plans to part ways with Scott at the start of the year unless they receive a significant bid in the region of £100m.
Otherwise, interested teams may have to wait until the summer. The Cherries could provide a discount on the fee at that point.
