Chelsea and Arsenal have been handed a blow in the pursuit of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko this summer.
The Slovenian had a slow start to his debut campaign, but his form has picked up during the back end of the season with regular minutes.
He has so far netted 16 goals in all competitions and it is reported that his achievements have increased the release clause in his deal.
Sesko had a release clause worth €50m in his contract in January this year, but that could rise to as much as €75m at the end of the season.
The news is likely to be a blow for the Blues and Gunners, who were aiming to pursue his services on a cut-price transfer.
Neither have the 20-year-old as their prime transfer target, but the increased clause could urge them to look elsewhere this summer.
United have also been credited with an interest in him, but they are unlikely to afford the huge price amid their own financial issues.
