Manchester United could make a surprise move for Chelsea centre-back Levi Colwill during this summer's transfer window.
The Red Devils are on the hunt for a marquee central defender and they have been linked with Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite.
However, a deal looks far from likely due to the Toffees' demands.
The Merseyside giants currently want £80m for the 21-year-old while United are reluctant to pay more than £60m for his services.
Amidst this, the club are looking at alternative targets and it is claimed that Colwill is one of the top names on their radar, as per Daily Star.
The Blues graduate was linked with a possible exit from Stamford Bridge last summer before penning a long-term deal.
Despite this, there is speculation that he could be sold with the Blues needing to balance their books before July 1.
The club are open to selling club graduates to secure pure profit and could accept a big-money offer from the Red Devils.
