Manchester United are prepared to spend around 60 million euros to sign Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners this summer.
The Dutch international has the ability to play anywhere in midfield, but he is most comfortable from the number 10 position.
He has reportedly revealed his desire to join Juventus this summer, but as things stand, the Bianconeri are not close to signing him.
The Turin giants cannot afford the transfer package quoted and they are only willing to pay €40m with a player in exchange.
This has put United in the front seat for his services, but they may need to recoup some funds before making an approach.
The club are currently in the process of selling Mason Greenwood. Juventus and Benfica are both interested in his services.
The club graduate could leave for €25m which would benefit the Red Devils in the pursuit of Koopmeiners this summer.
Koopmeiners is also on the radar of Liverpool and United need to be pro-active to avoid missing out on his signature to their arch-rivals.
