Bayern Munich were in contact with Manchester United midfielder Casemiro at the end of the season, according to Trivela.
The Brazil international had a difficult second year with the Red Devils. He was inconsistent and picked up several injuries.
This has led to suggestions that he could be sold this summer, but reports claim that the midfielder plans to continue at United.
Trivela claim that Bayern were in talks with Casemiro this month, but they could not agree on personal terms for a transfer.
Casemiro was clearly unwilling to accept a huge pay-cut and he prefers to see out the remainder of his contract with United.
The news could be a potential setback for the club, who have been exploring the possibility of parting ways with him.
With his decision to stay, United could be reluctant to spend big on a marquee midfielder, considering their huge wage bill.
Casemiro is currently the highest earner at the club. He looks on course to stay with the Red Devils for another season at least.
