Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte has reportedly given the green light to join Manchester United this summer.
The Uruguayan star joined Les Parisiens from Sporting Lisbon last summer and he made 37 appearances in all competitions.
Despite his good performances, he is not a favourite under manager Luis Enrique, who has opened the door for his departure.
It is now claimed that United are keen on landing his signature and they have already made direct contact with Les Parisiens.
Furthermore, the player's representatives are open to discussing the move. Ugarte himself would love to join the Red Devils.
The news is a huge boost for United, who are eyeing a quality defensive midfielder to replace Casemiro in their ranks.
Casemiro is no longer in the prime of his career and reports suggest that he could be sold to a Saudi Arabian club soon.
The Brazilian is not contemplating an exit, but may do so if the club secure the signature of Ugarte from Les Parisiens.
