Chelsea and Arsenal have been handed a huge boost in signing Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori this summer.
The Italy international had a fantastic 2023/24 campaign with the Serie A outfit. He helped them qualify for the Champions League.
Calafiori was also impressive for Italy in the group stage of Euro 2024, and he was sorely missed in the round of 16 loss due to a suspension.
Bologna director Giovanni Sartori has now revealed that Calafiori won't be sold to local rivals Juventus in the current transfer window.
He added that the 22-year-old could move abroad if the club were to sell him. Bologna remain optimistic of keeping him for another year.
Calafiori is a left-footed central defender, but he can also operate at left-back. He has excelled with his fantastic ball-playing skills.
The former Basel man is also blessed with terrific recovery pace and has the ability to make goal contributions with his aerial presence.
Chelsea and Arsenal are among his main admirers and they could get the opportunity to sign him for around £34 million this summer.
