  • The Blues had plenty of injury concerns in the recent campaign as they finished a disappointing sixth in the Premier League.

The club will be hoping for better fortunes next term and they have already been handed a boost on the injury front, as per reports.

Wesley Fofana missed the whole of last season with a serious knee injury, but he is anticipated to train again in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, last summer's signing Romeo Lavia made just one appearance last term after picking up ankle and hamstring injuries.

The Belgian is a midfielder with huge potential and he is expected to be involved in pre-season training under Enzo Maresca.

Chelsea will be hoping for a bright pre-season as they prepare for the new campaign which won't be easy. They host Manchester City in the opening day of the season at Stamford Bridge.
