Liverpool have not given up on signing Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon this summer, according to Football Insider.
The Merseyside giants are aiming to add more quality in their attack next season and they have identified Gordon as their prime target.
The Magpies recently proposed to sign Jarell Quansah in a potential deal with Liverpool for Gordon, but the Reds have no desire to sell him.
The Reds prefer to negotiate a straight-cash deal and they remain optimistic of securing an agreement to sign the former Evertonian.
The Magpies are eyeing a staggering £100m for his services, but the Reds are hopeful of signing him for around £75m plus add-ons.
Gordon had a superb full season with the Magpies last term. He scored 12 goals and provided 11 assists across all competitions.
He is currently with England at the European Championship, and a transfer could be delayed until his return from the tournament.
Newcastle are currently determined to keep hold of him, but they are unlikely to turn down a significant bid from the Reds.
