Manchester United have entered advanced talks with Bayern Munich for the transfer of Matthijs de Ligt, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils have already sealed an agreement to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna. The striker will undergo his medical tomorrow before penning a five-year contract.
The club are expected to follow up his arrival with the acquisition of De Ligt from Bayern. The Netherlands ace has already agreed terms over a long-term deal with United.
His agent is currently engaged in negotiations with Bayern to sort out a deal. United are hoping to sign him for around €40m with a further €10m to be paid in the form of add-ons.
De Ligt looks set to become the club's second signing of the summer transfer window. There could be plenty of more arrivals in the next couple of weeks, according to reports.
The club are aiming to land another young centre-back after De Ligt while they are also exploring the possibility of signing a central midfielder.
