Arsenal are locked in negotiations with Bologna to finalise the transfer of Riccardo Calafiori, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The north London giants have already agreed personal terms over a long-term deal with Calafiori and they are currently in talks with the Serie A outfit.
The Gunners have accepted the €50m package quoted by Bologna, but they are yet to find an agreement over the payment terms for the transfer.
Arsenal are willing to pay around €40m as a fixed fee with €10m in add-ons. On the other hand, Bologna are eyeing a much higher fixed sum.
The Italian club are also looking for a sell-on clause as part of the deal. Mikel Arteta's side seem reluctant to include the option for the player.
Despite the delay, there is no fear of a potential hijack. The 22-year-old has given his word to the Gunners and won't change his transfer stance.
It is only a matter of time before Calafiori makes the switch.
