Italian giants Juventus are set to sign the Brazilian striker Amauri from fellow Italian side Palermo inside hours, according to latest reports emanating from Italy.
After a protracted transfer speculation, it has finally been revealed that Juventus and Palermo have agreed a deal with each other for the highly rated Brazilian striker. Amauri is certainly a hot catch in European football and has been so for three or so years.
Although several other clubs, such as Real Madrid, AC Milan, Inter Milan and even Manchester United, Juventus appear to have left the others behind in successfully hunting the player's signature.
It is alleged that Juventus shall pay Palermo €12 million euros and Amauri himself will be on a €3.5 million per season salary until 2012.
The deal is set to be struck for good in the coming hours with Amauri alleged to undertake the customary medical fitness test at Juventus on Tuesday.
