Chelsea are expected to offload Romelu Lukaku to Napoli before the transfer window closes this month, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Belgium international has been deemed surplus to requirements by the Blues and he is due to leave the club in the coming days.
Napoli have been locked in negotiations for weeks and the clubs are likely to reach a middle ground over the transfer fee very soon.
Chelsea initially quoted around €40m for the 31-year-old, but they could eventually accept €30m including add-ons for his sale.
It was previously reported that Lukaku could be used as a makeweight to sign Victor Osimhen, but that is no longer a possibility.
Napoli have refused to lower their €130m price for Osimhen. The Nigerian ace is not keen on leaving on loan with an option to buy.
The 25-year-old also has no desire to accept a pay-cut. Without these two conditions, the Blues seem unlikely to land his services.
