Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing Fluminense midfielder Andre, according to TNT Sports BR.
The Red Devils are aiming to land a defensive midfielder before the transfer deadline and Manuel Ugarte is the number one choice for them.
Talks are ongoing with PSG over the price tag, but there is no guarantee that they will land his signature in the coming days, as per Sky Sports.
Hence, the club are looking at potential alternatives and it is reported that talks have been held with the representatives of Andre over a move.
The 23-year-old was a top target for Liverpool last summer. They were prepared to pay €30m, but Fluminense were reluctant to sell him.
Their stance has changed this time around with the need to raise funds and Andre has also opened the door for a new challenge in Europe.
United will reportedly need to pay around €35m. Liverpool have no plans of revisiting their interest under new manager Arne Slot.
