Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed an injury blow for midfielder Mason Mount following the 2-1 Premier League defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.
The England international made the starting line-up against the Seagulls earlier today, but he was substituted at the half-time interval with Joshua Zirkzee taking his place.
It was considered as a tactical decision at the end, but speaking after the loss, Ten Hag confirmed that it was forced on him, he said: "It was forced.
"He mentioned an issue and I don't want to take the risk with him."I don't know how much of a worry it is, I can't say at this moment."
Mount had an injury-plagued debut season with the Red Devils and he managed less than 1,000 minutes in all competitions last term.
He managed to stay unscathed for the whole of pre-season and he has now suffered another setback which should concern Ten Hag.
Hopefully, he has only picked up a minor knock and will be available for the next league game against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
