Everton are in the market for £8 million midfielder Dudu Cearense. The CSKA Moscow midfielder has emerged as an interesting acquisition for Everton and is firmly on David Moyes' radar.
Dudu, 25, and a holding midfielder, is tipped as a perfect replacement for Lee Carsley, who joined Birmingham last week.
Everton chief exec Keith Wyness admitted talks were ongoing for new transfers and said: "In the transfer window I am speaking to agents all the time. Nine out of ten don't come to anything, but you have to be speaking and know what is in the market place."
