Arsenal are unlikely to make any more signings before the transfer window closes tonight, according to David Ornstein.
The Gunners have had a quiet summer transfer window by their high standards and they have made just two new signings in Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino.
The latter picked up a shoulder injury in training today and reports claim that he won't be available for the next six weeks. Despite this, the club are eyeing no more arrivals.
Speaking in The Athletic podcast, Ornstein said that he does not expect any more incomings at the north London giants. There could still be a late twist to the tale.
The Gunners have been offered the opportunity to land Raheem Sterling from Chelsea, but the deal would depend on the Blues compensating the winger first.
Arsenal prefer to sign Sterling on loan for 50 percent of his wages. They are otherwise looking to recruit him on a free transfer on a weekly salary of £150,000.
