Arsenal were keen on signing Barcelona winger Raphinha during the recent transfer window, according to TNAT.
The Gunners were eyeing an experienced attacker last month and they were looking at multiple options on the table.
Raphinha was one of the top names on their radar. Barcelona were willing to sell him, but Arsenal could not seal the deal.
While the transfer fee was not a concern, they could not assure Raphinha with a guaranteed starting role under Mikel Arteta.
As a result, the former Leeds United winger was happy to remain at Barcelona, where he has impressed this term.
The 27-year-old has been ever-present for the Blaugrana in the first four games with three goals and as many assists.
He is enjoying the best phase of his playing career, but Barcelona could still contemplate his sale in future transfer windows.
The club need to balance their books every summer with their huge debts and Raphinha could leave them next year.
