Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Luke Shaw and Rasmus Hojlund are not ready to face Southampton this weekend.
The Red Devils have had a dismal start to the Premier League campaign and they have secured just three points from the opening three outings.
Injuries have played a part in the early phase of the season and Ten Hag has revealed that Shaw and Hojlund won't be available on Saturday afternoon.
United travel to the South Coast to face the Saints, but the duo won't make the matchday squad as they are not fully fit after their recent setbacks.
Shaw picked up a calf injury in his first training session in pre-season while Hojlund sustained a hamstring issue in the friendly against Arsenal.
Both players have started working with the group, but Ten Hag may want to handle them with extra caution to avoid recurrence of injuries.
United will go into Saturday's early kick-off as overwhelming favourites. Anything less than a win could pile more pressure on the manager.
