Liverpool have identified Sevilla centre-back Loic Bade as a potential replacement for Virgil van Dijk next summer, according to Caught Offside.
Van Dijk has been a huge performer for the Merseyside giants, but his future is uncertain with his current contract expiring at the end of the season.
The Dutchman has expressed his desire to prolong his stay, but there is a possibility that he could leave if there is a disagreement over terms.
Caught Offside claim that the Merseyside giants are preparing for that possibility and they have their sights on landing Bade from Sevilla.
The 24-year-old has developed into one of the best young centre-backs in France and he is currently a mainstay at the Andalusian outfit.
Sevilla are more happy with the defender, but they may have no option but to sell him if the £42 million release clause in his deal is triggered.
Liverpool are not alone in the pursuit of the talented star. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also admirers of the French ace.
