Liverpool manager Arne Slot was particularly impressed with Trent Alexander-Arnold's defending against Bournemouth in the Premier League.
The Reds climbed to the top of the Premier League table with a 3-0 win over the Cherries. They dominated the proceedings and could have won by a bigger scoreline in the end.
Luis Diaz was undoubtedly the man of the match for his quick fire brace in the opening half, but Alexander-Arnold had an equally good game from the right-back role for the Reds.
He provided the assist for Diaz's second goal in the opening half and was also brilliant defensively with six duels won and four successful tackles.
Speaking after the game, Slot highlighted the same saying: "I’m not surprised he is involved in so many goals because his quality is outstanding.
"But what I also liked today was how he defended. If he can combine those two things he makes me really happy."
The Reds are top of the table with 12 points, but they are expected to drop to second regardless of the outcome of the contest between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.
