Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has heaped praise on Ethan Nwaneri following his fantastic performance against Preston North End last night.
The north London giants returned to winning ways with a 3-0 win over Preston in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Nwaneri was one of the stand-out performers. The 17-year-old scored with a stunning curling strike from the edge of the box.
The teenager also missed one big chance while also hitting the woodwork.
Speaking after the game, Arteta said that the players are used to Nwaneri's ability to convert scoring chances from long range.
He said: "He did it yesterday in training so we’re used to that. He’s a big talent, he’s got the right attitude, he’s got the right players and context around him."
Arsenal will be back in Premier League action at Newcastle United on Saturday. It promises to be an exciting encounter.
The Magpies won the same game last time around by a controversial goal and the Gunners will be aiming to avenge that result.
