Sevilla-Romaric deal falls through

Latest reports emanating from Spain and France indicate that the earlier done deal between Spanish side FC Sevilla and French club Le Mans over Koffi Romaric.

  • It was earlier reported in the Spanish press that Romaric was set to sign for the Andalucian club in the next few days and was also reportedly set to pen a four year contract.



    But French sports paper L'Equipe now reports that the talks between the two clubs have broken down at the last stage. It reports that Le Mans conplain that Sevilla do not want to pay the amount that they want for their star Ivory Coast international.



    This all but implies that either negotiations would have to resume or Romaric is off to another club. Sevilla need the player to replace Seydou Keita whose €14 million transfer to Catalan giants FC Barcelona is just days away.
