Sol to stay at Portsmouth

22 May 2008 - 14:11

Portsmouth assistant Tony Adams has revealed that there are no plans to allow Sol Campbell to leave the club. The former Arsenal defender has been in cracking form this year, helping Pompey to FA Cup victory.

  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • "Sol's delivered week in, week out, his stats are incredible," said Adams.

"I think it's the most football he's ever played in the past few years.

"He's got no problems at all. he seems happy in action, happy and contented, he really does.

"I don't see him moving anywhere to be honest. And to give my opinion, I think he's happy where he is.

"He's getting a bit older but there's an element of Sol who wants to be the main man and he certainly is the main man here at Portsmouth.

"I think he's happy and contented and it's important for Sol to be happy and contented off the pitch. I does mean a lot to him."
