Manchester United are preparing a formal bid to sign Sporting Lisbon winger Geovany Quenda at the end of the season, according to A Bola.
The Red Devils are unlikely to spend big in January due to PSR issues, but they are expected to back manager Ruben Amorim in the summer.
Quenda is the priority target for the Portuguese and reports claim that United could seek to negotiate an advanced deal in January itself.
The 17-year-old has a staggering €100m release clause in his contract, but the Red Devils are set to offer €60m plus add-ons for his services.
Sporting Lisbon are open to listening to such an offer and they are unlikely to block the wonderkid from leaving at the end of the campaign.
The teenager has been sensational as a right wing-back since his debut under Amorim earlier this term.
Amorim is now keen on reuniting with him after leaving Sporting to become United's manager earlier this month.
