Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has broken silence on the Premier League title race following a 1-0 loss to West Ham United.
The Gunners suffered third defeat of the league campaign against the Hammers. Following the game, Arteta was asked about the club's title prospects.
The Spaniard said that it is no longer in the club's hands and admitted that he is really annoyed with the way the Gunners performed during the London derby.
He said: "It’s not in our hands. For me, I’m really, really annoyed with the things that were in our hands that we didn’t do as well as we possibly could and that’s the performance."
Arsenal have dropped eight points behind Liverpool after the shock defeat. The gap could extend further if the Reds pick up a positive result at Manchester City tomorrow.
The Gunners' next game will be against Nottingham Forest on the road. It could be another difficult outing, considering the absence of a fit specialist striker in the squad.
