Arsenal have reportedly moved ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram at the end of the season, according to Football Insider.
The Gunners are expected to pursue a new striker this summer and they have been linked with the likes of Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko lately.
However, Football Insider claim that the north London giants are keen on landing Thuram, who has managed 20 goal contributions for Inter this term.
The Frenchman has a release clause worth £71m and it is claimed that the Gunners are lining up a summer approach for the highly-rated Frenchman.
Thuram started off his career from the left wing role, but he has become an out-and-out striker over the past few years and has been consistent.
Despite this, we would be surprised if Arsenal make a move for him, considering he will be turning 28 in August and may have no resale value.
The Gunners could prefer to recruit Sesko from RB Leipzig instead.
