Arsenal star Riccardo Calafiori could be sidelined for three weeks after picking up a knee injury on international duty with Italy.
The versatile defender joined the Gunners from Bologna last summer and he has since picked up several short-term injuries.
Calafiori sustained another setback against Germany yesterday and he has been permitted to return to the Gunners for assessment.
Gianluca Di Marzio claims that he could be out for three weeks, but Arsenal are due to provide the final timescale for his recovery.
The news is concerning for the Gunners, but they have the left-back position well covered with several other choices.
Myles Lewis-Skelly has had more minutes than Calafiori in recent months. Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko can play there too.
Jurrien Timber is another option for the manager. The Dutchman started the campaign as a left-back before moving to the right side.
