Chelsea are determined to sign a new striker and winger before the start of the Club World Cup, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Blues have had a good Premier League campaign and they are presently fourth in the standings with another seven games left.
Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku have shared the minutes upfront, but both of them have squandered big chances this term.
Jacobs now reports that the Blues are likely to pursue a marquee striker and winger and prefer to recruit them before the Club World Cup.
The Premier League transfer window will initially open between June 1 and 10 for the World Cup. The Blues are keen to capitalise on that.
Napoli's Victor Osimhen is one of the top targets for the Blues, but the club are also exploring a deal for RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko.
It remains to be seen whether they can sign either player. Osimhen could join the Blues with or without Champions League football.
