Arsenal have entered talks with Ethan Nwaneri over a new long-term deal, according to BBC Sport.
The Gunners have had a mixed campaign due to injuries, but there have been plenty of positives as well.
Nwaneri has been brilliant in his breakthrough season with several goal contributions.
He only signed a professional contract last year, but Arsenal are ready to reward him for his progress.
Talks are ongoing with his representatives and the club are confident of finalising a new deal soon.
Alongside Nwaneri, the Gunners have opened talks with Myles Lewis-Skelly over an improved contract.
Lewis-Skelly has been a revelation from left-back since his making his debut against Manchester City.
The youngster has established himself as a first-choice and looks set to have a bright future with the Gunners.
Just like Nwaneri, Lewis-Skelly is one of the lowest earners in the squad and is set for a major salary hike.
The duo's emergence is expected to pave the way for the departures of Fabio Vieira and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
