Wigan watching Etienne Didot

25 May 2008 - 10:48

According to reports, Wigan are ready to make a move for Rennes' captain Etienne Didot. The midfielder has attracted the interest of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger in the past, but now Wigan are apparently ready to make an offer for the Frenchman.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Bournemouth star
  • Arsenal ace avoids surgery after knee injury
  • Didot has spent his entire career at Stade Rennais and is apparently reluctant to leave the club, but the lure of the Premiership could prove costly for the French side.

Didot has yet to represent the French national side due to the quality ahead of him, such as Vieira and Makelele, but the player is believed to be keen to make a move to a larger side so he is noticed by Raymond Domenech in the future.

Didot is valued by Rennes at around £5 million.
