Manchester United are prepared to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen on a cut-price deal at the end of the season, as per The Mirror.

The Red Devils are expected to strengthen their frontline ahead of next season and a marquee striker is one of the top priorities for the club.

They have already been linked with several names, but reports claim that Osimhen is the number one target for manager Ruben Amorim.

The 26-year-old has netted 30 goals on loan for Galatasaray this campaign and he is widely expected to leave Napoli during the summer.

The Serie A giants could also be compelled to sanction his sale, considering his current deal expires at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

United are keen to capitalise on the same situation and believe they can prise him away from the Naples outfit for around £40 million.

Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in his services, but it appears they are unlikely to make an approach this summer.
