Chelsea could make a surprise move for Arsenal target Viktor Gyokeres during the summer transfer window, according to Correio da Manha.

  • Wesley Fofana sends message ahead of Leeds game
  • The Blues are determined to land a marquee striker this summer and they have already been linked with several names over the past few weeks.

Gyokeres is one of the candidates on their radar and reports claim that they could pay close to the striker's €100 million to secure his signature.

Arsenal are also keen admirers of the Swedish star but the Gunners are said to be reluctant to pay more than €75m as a fixed fee for the marksman.

Gyokeres has been in sensational form for the Portuguese champions. He has bagged 52 goals and 12 assists from 49 appearances in all competitions.

The 26-year-old has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal. Chelsea are also keen but it could depend on their European status next term.

If the Blues qualify for the Champions League with a top-five league finish, Gyokeres could be tempted to join them despite the Gunners' interest.
