Arsenal target and Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia is expected to decide on his future next week, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Spaniard was a top target for the Gunners last summer, but they were reluctant to pay his £21 million release clause in full before the deadline.
The club have revived their interest in recent weeks, but there is no guarantee that the 24-year-old will choose them over other clubs.
Garcia was happy to accept a deputy role behind David Raya last term, but he is now determined to secure a starting position instead.
Arsenal are unlikely to offer him that. Hence, the Gunners could realistically miss out on his services despite agreeing terms last summer.
Aston Villa and Bournemouth could be favourites to land him. Both clubs are keen on signing first-choice goalkeepers this summer.
Manchester City and Newcastle United are also keeping tabs. Garcia has already opened the door for a move to the Premier League.
