Hiddink agent rules out Chelsea

Hiddink agent rules out Chelsea

26 May 2008 - 10:52

The agent of Russia coach, Guus Hiddink, has ruled out any chance of the Dutchman leaving his post after Euro 2008 and making the move to the Premiership with Chelsea. Avram Grant's departure has seen Hiddink emerge as a candidate for the role.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • However, Hiddink has only just signed a new deal with the Russian Football Association, and is known to be happy and keen to stay in the post.

The offer of £7 million a year has little or no interest to the Dutchman, and his agent Cees van Nieuwenhuizen said: "There's no way Guus will go to Chelsea," he told the Times.

"It's not an option and has never been. Guus is the coach of Russia and will stay until the World Cup of 2010."
