Manchester United are the only club in negotiations with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign Hugo Ekitike, according to BILD in Germany.
The Red Devils recently suffered a huge setback as Viktor Gyokeres made it clear that he would prefer to join Arsenal this summer.
The club are now eyeing an alternative, and reports claim that they have made progress in the pursuit of Ekitike in the last few days.
The Red Devils are the only club in contact with the Bundesliga giants. Ekitike has opened the door for a move to Old Trafford.
However, a transfer is far from certain, considering Eintracht have no plans of selling their prized asset for anything less than €100 million.
Liverpool recently agreed to purchase Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for €136m. This has been set as the benchmark.
Ekitike, who scored 22 goals and provided 12 assists for Eintracht last term, won't be permitted to leave for a discounted fee this summer.
