Panathinaikos eye Aimar

Panathinaikos eye Aimar

26 May 2008 - 21:09

Greek side Panathinaikos are eyeing Pablo Aimar from relegated Spanish side Real Zaragoza. The Argentinian midfielder has been told he must leave as he is financially draining their funds.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Panathinaikos are looking to add some attacking flair and talent to their squad in preparation for next year, and Aimar would come as one of the biggest coups ever for the Greek leagues.

Aimar would cost around £6 million, but the Greeks will have some competition with several other Spanish clubs including Villarreal and Sevilla interested in Aimar, as well as Premiership side Man City.
