Brighton and Hove Albion are the favourites to sign Liverpool's wantaway midfielder Harvey Elliott this summer, with the South Coast club readying a reported £38 million bid. Elliott has caught the eye in the Euro under-21 tournament, scoring four goals in five games as England will appear in the tournament final for a second time in a row.
Something of an unsung hero at Liverpool, Elliott has played 92 league games for his current club, scoring five league goals, and has hinted that his future could lie elsewhere after helping the Anfield club win the Premier League title. At just 22-years-old, the attacking midfielder knows that he has plenty of time to force his way into England's full national side but a move that will guarantee him first-team football must follow. Enter Brighton. The club are said to be huge admirers of Elliott and will likely match Liverpool's pricetag for the former Fulham midfielder.
In previous years, Elliott had been a regular at Anfield, playing in 32 top flight games in 2022-23 and then a further 34 in 23-24, but last year under new manager Arne Slot he only appeared 18 times in the Premier League.
This lack of first-team action means that Elliott is seeking a move away from Anfield.
Brighton will also face competition from German club RB Leipzig and Premier League rivals West Ham and Newcastle United for Elliott.
