Arsenal have confirmed that they have mutually parted ways with defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.
The Japan international joined the Gunners from Bologna in the summer of 2021 and he quickly became a fan favourite with his performances.
However, injuries have hampered his progress over the past few campaigns and Arsenal have now decided to cut ties with the versatile defender.
Tomiyasu underwent knee surgery earlier this year and he is not anticipated to return until January. It may not be long before he finds another club.
The 26-year-old is on the radar of multiple Saudi Pro League clubs while he is also attracting interest from Serie A and Ligue 1 teams as well.
Hopefully, Tomiyasu can get over his injury problems and have a good career ahead. Arsenal have already found a replacement for him.
The Gunners are in advanced negotiations with Valencia to purchase Cristhian Mosquera. The Spaniard has already agreed terms.
It is only a matter of time before the 21-year-old makes the switch.
