Marko Marin

Marko Marin

26 May 2008 - 21:50

Borrusia Mönchengladbach winger Marko Marin is fast becoming one of the most respected young players in Germany. The player, although of Bosnian origin, is tipped to become a regular for the full international side.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Mikel Arteta confirms big injury boost for Spurs clash

  • Marin has been so impressive for Monchengladbach of late, that Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen are both reportedly interested in landing him. The player is valued by his club at around £8 million, and even then they will be reluctant to let the player leave.

Germany is proving to be a hotbed of up and coming talent, and Toni Kroos is also regarded as one of the future; but many in Germany are finding it difficult to seperate both Kroos and Marin despite both being immensely talented. However, Kroos does have a better reputation at this stage.

Marin set the German 2nd division alive with his dazzling runs and pace; and many have even ear marked Marin to be the 'next Cristiano Ronaldo'.

One of Marin's most admired abilities is his cracking dribbling ability and his pace. Marin is quite small and able to weave his way through a defence; in fact, he is even nicknamed 'Matchbox' in his homeland.

Marin is certain to be one for the future and Germany are very lucky to have him.
