Manchester United have suffered a huge blow with goalkeeper Andre Onana picking up a hamstring injury in pre-season training.
The Cameroon international has been the first-choice shot-stopper for the Red Devils. He has made several high-profile errors, but continues to receive the backing from manager Ruben Amorim.
However, he won't be available for the beginning of the new campaign after sustaining a hamstring injury. He will be on the sidelines for the next six to eight weeks at least, as per The Telegraph.
This could force the Red Devils to enter the transfer market for a replacement, considering Altay Bayindir has been unconvincing as the backup keeper.Â
The former Fenerbahce man has been disappointing with his distribution and Amorim may want someone better with the ball at his feet to replace Onana.
Botafogo's John Victor has been heavily linked over the past few days and could be a potential candidate. He can be signed for a low release clause of just £6m.
