Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard suffered a groin injury during the pre-season friendly against Tottenham Hotspur in Hong Kong.
The Gunners suffered a 1-0 loss to Spurs earlier on Thursday and they were hugely disappointing with just one shot on target overall.
Trossard came on as a late substitute after the hour mark in the game, but he was substituted in the 85th minute due to a groin injury.
Manager Mikel Arteta did not provide the extent of the setback, but the Belgian could be out for action for the next few games at least.
Arsenal will be hoping that he can return in time for the Premier League curtain-raiser against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Trossard has also been linked with a possible move away from the Gunners, but that could be decided towards the end of the window.
Arsenal are keen on landing Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace. Trossard's exit would provide extra funds to make an initial payment.
