Wigan Athletic are reportedly keen on landing Ghanaian international defender John Mensah this summer. Steve Bruce is willing to spend £6 million to lure the player to the Latics.
Rennes, the player's club, have always remained keen to keep hold of Mensah for the forseeable future.
However, Mensah himself is known to be eager to try his luck in another league and the offer Wigan brings is a very interesting one.
At Rennes, Mensah has continued to impress and at one stage Bayern Munich were believed to be interested in the player.
