Brentford have been in contact with Bournemouth with regard to the availability of Burkina Faso forward Dango Ouattara, as the 23-year-old player could be allowed to depart the Cherries for a fresh challenge. At times last season, Ouattara looked unplayable, but toward the end of the campaign manager Andoni Iraola dropped the former Lorient man and now his future could lie elsewhere.
Brentford have money to spend having received £80 million from the sale of Bryan Mbuemo and it is understood that alongside Ouattara the club could also make a move for Reiss Nelson this summer as they seek to add depth to their squad ahead of the 2025-26 Premier League season.
Ouattara arrived at Bournemouth in January 2023 and has since gone on to play 81 times in the Premier League, returning nine goals. It is understood that Dango also has other options from abroad, with Italian club Juventus and Spanish side Villarreal considering an offer should the player be open to leaving his current club. However, Ouattara is known to prefer a longer term stay in England.
