Manchester City have entered the race to sign Chelsea target Xavi Simons, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The Netherlands international has been tipped to join the Blues from RB Leipzig last summer, but talks are yet to progress over the transfer fee.
Leipzig want at least 70 million euros for the attacker, but the Blues want a discount. They are willing to include a player as a makeweight too.
Amidst this, City have entered the hunt for the former Paris Saint-Germain man. They are looking at a new forward with multiple exits expected.
The Cityzens have sanctioned the loan exit of Jack Grealish to Everton. The Toffees will have an option to purchase him at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur are in negotiations to sign James McAtee and Savinho respectively in the coming days.
City are ready to launch a move for Simons with the funds recouped. Real Madrid star Rodrygo is another candidate on their radar this summer.
