Having missed out on a deal to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, as the winger appears to have opted to join Arsenal, Tottenham are short of an attacking midfielder and have decided that Southampton player Tyler Dibling is the preferred option. Spurs missed out on Eze as chairman Daniel Levy was unable to agree a fee with Palace, leaving Tottenham looking to sign Dibling as an alternative.
Dibling has played 35 times for the Saints, scoring two goals, and at 19-years-old he is considered one of the best young players in England and would match the style of football on offer at White Hart Lane. Everton have apparently ended their pursuit of Dibling, but a late bid could be made from Crystal Palace to sign the England under-21.
Tottenham are short of an attacking midfielder after losing James Maddison to a long-term injury and must move swiftly as the transfer window draws to a close on September 1st, and numerous names have been linked with Thomas Frank's club, but Dibling is now the top priority.
