Tottenham manager Thomas Frank wants to add at least one more attacking option to his squad before the transfer window slams shut on September 1st, and Spurs have revisited a move for Man City winger Savinho, improving their original offer of £37.5 million to a reported £43 million. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has been locked in talks with the City hierarchy having missed out on the signing of Eberechi Eze.
Spurs had hoped to bring Eze to the club but Arsenal won the race at the last minute, with the player opting to depart Crystal Palace for the Emirates Stadium. Savinho is a long-term target for Spurs, and Thomas Frank wants to bring the Brazilian to the club as an alternative to Brennan Johnson and Mohamed Kudus.
It is understood that Man City manager Pep Guardiola was not sufficiently impressed with Savinho's attitude in training last season, or the player's on the pitch performances, so is willing to let the winger depart for a new challenge.
Savinho has four years remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium.
