Samaras eyes Celtic stay

28 May 2008 - 08:35

Man City's on loan striker Giorgios Samaras is hoping to stay at Celtic this summer. The Greek forward had an impressive first season in the SPL, and is now hoping to make his move permanent.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Samaras is valued at around £4 million by his club.

Samaras' agent, Lee Anderson, told the Scottish Sun: "Gordon wants to keep him and Georgios wants to stay.

"The player is clear in what he wants, but the problem is down to the confusion at City.

"The first thing I'll do is find out from City chief executive Alistair Mackintosh what is going on."
