Arsenal have reportedly made a counter offer following Porto's €26m proposal to land Jakub Kiwior earlier today.
The Gunners are open to parting ways with Kiwior for the right price, and they have identified Bayer Leverkusen's Piero Hincapie as his replacement.
Porto have proposed a loan deal with an obligation to buy for €26m, but the Gunners have requested for a package of around €30m this evening.
Talks are advancing between the clubs, but a transfer for the 25-year-old will only be sanctioned if Arsenal secure an agreement for Hincapie.
Leverkusen are holding out for the player's €60m release clause, but Arsenal are hopeful of signing him for around €45m before the deadline.
If the German club give the green light, Arsenal could sanction Kiwior's move to Porto. He has already agreed terms with the Primeira Liga side.
Hincapie has likewise said yes to the Gunners. The Ecuadorian centre-back could be the Gunners' final acquisition of the summer transfer window.
